Academics is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established primary school in Newport that is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a varied classroom-based role, supporting pupils who may have additional learning needs or require extra encouragement throughout the school day. You will work closely with teaching staff and provide support both within lessons and through more focused activities with individuals or small groups. Depending on the needs of the pupils, this could include helping children with phonics, reading, writing and maths, supporting them to follow classroom routines and making sure they are able to engage with activities.
