Teaching Assistant (SEN)

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive Primary School team, working with pupils and young people with Autism and Learning Disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping children feel safe, supported, and confident in their learning. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them to develop independence, communication skills, and positive relationships within a nurturing and structured school environment.The RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:Provide tailored support to pupils with Autism and Learning Disabilities, both 1:1 and in small groupsSupport learning activities under the direction of the class teacher and SENCOPromote engagement, independence, and positive behaviourSupport pupils with social communication and emotional regulationAssist with personal care where requiredCreate a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environmentThe Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)Has a patient, calm, and empathetic approachCommunicates effectively with pupils, staff, and parentsWorks well as part of a team and follows school policiesIs committed to safeguarding and inclusive practiceFull training and ongoing support will be provided.Why Join Us?Supportive and experienced staff ..... full job details .....
