Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting children with additional needs?

Academics Rochester is currently recruiting for a strong KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school on the outskirts of Sittingbourne. This role involves supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing targeted, compassionate support to KS2 pupils with additional needs
• Supporting classroom teaching and learning activities tailored to individual needs
• Assisting in managing behaviour and promoting positive social interactions
• Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCO, and specialist staff
• Helping to deliver interventions and promote independence in learning

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience supporting children with Autism and SEMH in a primary school setting
• Strong understanding of additional needs and inclusive education
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to making a positive impact on pupils'' learning and well-being
