Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting children with additional needs?
Academics Rochester is currently recruiting for a strong KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school on the outskirts of Sittingbourne. This role involves supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing targeted, compassionate support to KS2 pupils with additional needs
- Supporting classroom teaching and learning activities tailored to individual needs
- Assisting in managing behaviour and promoting positive social interactions
- Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCO, and specialist staff
- Helping to deliver interventions and promote independence in learning
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with Autism and SEMH in a primary school setting
- Strong understanding of additional needs and inclusive education
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to making a positive impact on pupils'' learning and well-being
