A specialist SEMH primary school in Southampton is seeking a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant to join their dedicated and resilient team.Pupils require consistent, structured support to help them manage social, emotional, and mental health needs. This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same, and your support can have a lasting impact on a child''s future.You will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping to manage behaviour, encourage engagement, and promote positive outcomes.The ideal candidate will:Have experience working with challenging behaviour in education, care, or youth settingsBe calm, patient, and consistent in their approachHave strong behaviour management and de-escalation skillsBe committed to supporting vulnerable pupilsWhat we offer:Full-time, term-time hours£14.25 per hourA strong, supportive team environmentOpportunities for further training in SEMH and behaviour supportThis is a temp to perm opportunity, securing a permanent position with the school after a successful probation period.
