Make a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs by providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support within schools in the Leeds Area. You''ll help pupils overcome barriers to learning, build positive relationships, develop emotional resilience, and achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. Who are we looking for? A successful candidate would: Have previous experience working in educational environments, including mainstream schools, specialist settings, or alternative education provisions. Have a proven ability to support children and young people with a diverse range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with behavioural challenges, complex communication, and additional learning needs. Be compassionate, approachable, and patient, with the ability to establish positive, trusting relationships that help pupils thrive. Show resilience, adaptability, and initiative when responding to individual pupil needs, while actively contributing to their learning, progress, and overall development. What to expect? Working in this setting requires patience, empathy, and adaptability, as pupils have a range of additional needs requiring personalised support throughout the school day.
