SEN Teaching Assistant Location: East London Contract: Full-time / Part-time (term-time only) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experienceAbout the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in East London. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing tailored support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groupsAssist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessonsHelp implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategiesPromote a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environmentSupport pupils with personal care where requiredMonitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and SENCOsRequirementsPrevious experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties)A patient, empathetic, and resilient approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to adapt support to meet individual needsAn enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)DesirableRelevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, SEN training)Experience in a primary or secondary school settingWhy Join Us?Supportive leadership and experienced SEN teamOngoing training and professional developmentOpportunity to make a real difference in pupils'' livesFriendly and inclusive school community ..... full job details .....
