Teaching Assistant

A welcoming mainstream primary school in Lightwater (GU18) is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their Year 3 team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP.This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who already has strong primary school experience and is looking for a consistent role where they can become an established member of the school team.Candidates must have at least one year of experience working within a primary school setting.The Teaching Assistant RoleWork within a Year 3 classroom, supporting the class teacher and pupils throughout the school day.Provide general classroom support across the KS2 curriculum.Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions where required.Support pupils with literacy, numeracy and other areas of learning.Help pupils remain engaged and make progress.Support positive behaviour and classroom routines.Prepare resources and assist with classroom activities.Work closely with the class teacher and wider support team.Encourage pupils'' confidence, independence and enjoyment of learning.The Ideal Teaching AssistantMinimum of one year''s experience working within a primary school - essential.Previous experience supporting KS2 pupils would be highly desirable.Good understanding of the expectations and routines of a primary school.Confident supporting children''s learning both individually and in groups.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Patient, enthusiastic and proactive.Reliable and able to commit ..... full job details .....
