SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 - Reception)Location: PR3 areaContract: Full-timeStart Date: ASAPHours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30Pay Rate: £16.35 per hourDuration: Ongoing - continuing after the summer term (September)A PR3 Primary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The pupil, a lovely little boy with ADHD, occasionally becomes emotionally dysregulated and overwhelmed, requiring consistent, nurturing support within the classroom. This full-time role is based entirely within the classroom setting, supporting the child with learning, emotional regulation, and engagement throughout the school day.Day-to-day of the role:Provide 1:1 support to a Reception pupil with SEN in line with their EHCP.Support the child''s emotional regulation, attention, and engagement in learning activities.Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement agreed strategies.Encourage positive behaviour and build a trusting, supportive relationship.Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and routines.Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.Required Skills and Qualifications:Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ADHD.A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.Ability to support emotional and behavioural needs in a positive manner.Reliable, committed, and able to work full-time hours.Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or ..... full job details .....
