This role is crucial in supporting young adults aged 7-16 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and complex learning difficulties. The position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a therapeutic learning environment with extremely small class sizes.Day-to-day of the role:Specialist ASD Support: Support students with Asperger''s Syndrome and complex autism through structured interventions tailored to individual education and behaviour plans.Small Class Engagement: Work within highly focused, small groups (frequently no more than 3 students per class) or on a 1-to-1 basis to build deep trust and communication.Emotional Regulation: Utilize de-escalation strategies, positive behaviour management, and emotional support to ensure a stable, safe learning environment.Therapeutic Outdoor Learning: Assist teachers in delivering outdoor curriculum leveraging its location in the Lake District.Academic Assistance: Help deliver modified core curricula (including literacy and numeracy), set up learning environments, and track pupil progress.Required Skills and Qualifications:A recognized Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent background in education/care) is typically required.Exceptional patience, emotional ..... full job details .....
