The successful candidate will help the child access learning opportunities, develop social and communication skills, and support their emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD.Assist the pupil in accessing classroom learning and structured play activities.Implement strategies set by the class teacher and SENDCo.Support the development of communication, social interaction, and independence skills.Assist with transitions between activities and school routines.Monitor and record progress, behaviour, and achievements.Build positive relationships with parents, teaching staff, and external professionals where appropriate.Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the pupil at all times.1:1 Year 1 Teaching Assistant - ASDJob OverviewWe are seeking an energetic and proactive Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
