Teaching Assistant (SEMH Support) - Fixed Term (1 Year)Hemel Hempstead September Start Full-Time £15 - £17 per hourREED Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a lovely and welcoming primary school in Hemel Hempstead to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time, one-year fixed-term contract, starting in September.This rewarding role will involve providing focused support to a small group of Year 5 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, working on a 1:3 basis to help them access learning, develop positive relationships, and achieve their full potential.The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will:Provide targeted support to three Year 5 pupils with SEMH needs.Build positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence and engagement.Support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom.Help implement strategies to manage behaviour and emotional regulation.Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff.Encourage independence, resilience, and social development.Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.The Ideal CandidateThe school is seeking someone who:Has previous experience working with children, ideally within a school setting.Has experience supporting pupils with SEMH, behavioural, or additional learning needs.Is patient, resilient, and able to remain calm under pressure.Can build strong professional relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.Has a genuine passion ..... full job details .....
