You must have at least 12 months of experience working within a primary school setting and have the desire to make a difference within the classroom. You should have knowledge of the primary curriculum and have full understanding of safeguarding minors. Teaching assistant work is not for the faint hearted as it is a demanding role which requires patience, stamina, teamwork and a caring attitude.
