Are you a recent Psychology Graduate looking to gain valuable experience in education?

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Hull from September. This role is perfect for individuals who are considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support and are eager to apply their understanding of child development and behaviour in a practical classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities for the TA:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs (e.g., SEN or SEMH).
• Assist class teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Help implement strategies to support learning, social and emotional development.
• Support students with behavioural or mental health challenges using positive interventions.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Requirements:

• A degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Passion for supporting children’s education and wellbeing.
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in schools or working with children (desirable but not essential).
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
