TEACHING ASSISTANT

Role Overview

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in their learning, both individually and in small groups. You will help create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment.

• Support teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities
• Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning
• Assist with classroom preparation and organisation
• Support pupils with additional learning needs where required
• Help maintain positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement
• Supervise pupils during activities, break times, or school trips when needed

• A positive, patient, and caring attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Experience working with children is desirable (but not essential)
• A willingness to support pupils of varying abilities
• Relevant TA qualification or willingness to work towards one is an advantage
