Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join mainstream primary schools across Cirencester. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to support their learning, confidence and development within a positive classroom environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to provide general classroom, one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils stay engaged and make progress across the curriculum. You''ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and inclusive classroom where children feel supported and encouraged to achieve their potential.

• Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support
• Helping pupils with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities
• Keeping pupils engaged, focused and motivated
• Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Encouraging children''s confidence and independence
• Preparing learning resources and classroom materials
• Working closely with teachers and other school staff
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

• Previous experience working with children is desirable
• School or classroom experience is beneficial but not essential
• Patient, caring and enthusiastic
• Confident communicating with children and staff
• Reliable, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Passionate about supporting children''s learning and development
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not always essential
