Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a friendly and welcoming primary school in Wallasey. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team and provide high-quality support to pupils across the school.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range. The role is varied and rewarding, requiring someone who is flexible, proactive, and passionate about helping children reach their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Assisting with the delivery of engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Providing additional support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
• Working closely with teachers and the wider school team to support pupils'' progress.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school.
• Have experience supporting children with SEND.
• Be patient, caring, and committed to making a positive difference to children''s learning and wellbeing.
• Be flexible and confident supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
