Teaching Assistant
Prospero Teaching is looking for Teaching Assistants to work across Secondary schools in Warrington.
We have a range of opportunities available, from flexible day-to-day supply to longer-term placements. You''ll support pupils in the classroom, in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, helping them engage with learning and make progress.
Strong behaviour management skills are essential.
The Role
- Location: Various locations across Warrington
- Position: Secondary Teaching Assistant
- Type of work: Classroom, small group and 1:1 pupil support, assisting the class teacher
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: Day-to-day bookings with potential for longer-term placements, depending on school requirements
- End date: N/A
- Contract type: Temporary
- Full-time/Part-time: Both available, depending on school requirements
- Minimum pay: -92.50 per day, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
- Hours: Typically 8:30am-3:15pm for a full day. Half-day and individual lesson cover may also be available. Times can vary between schools.
Experience, Training & Qualifications
- Teaching Assistant or teaching-related qualifications are desirable but not essential, including qualifications gained overseas
- SEN/SEMH awareness is beneficial
- Previous experience working in a UK school, ideally at least 6 months
- Safeguarding training completed within the last year is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided
To Be Eligible Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online Update Service, or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references covering the last two years, notwithstanding any appropriate child-related work experience
- Provide an appropriate CV history
- Register with Prospero Teaching and pass all required safeguarding and vetting checks
