Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide valuable classroom support across a range of subjects, helping students to achieve both academically and personally. The role will involve working with students of all abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), so flexibility and a positive approach are essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students in lessons on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning.
• Providing tailored support for students with SEND, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
• Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and independence.
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff to promote positive learning outcomes.
• Helping to maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school.
• Have experience supporting students with SEND.
• Be flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to the needs of the school and its students.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be patient, caring, and committed to supporting young people to achieve their potential.
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative.
