Teaching Assistant – Primary School

OverviewLocation: Plymouth • Pay: £89–£95 per day • Start: October – temporary to permanent for the right candidate

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Plymouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom, supporting pupils’ learning and development. You’ll be working closely with teachers to create a positive and engaging environment for all children.

Responsibilities

Support pupils’ learning and development in the classroom

Assist teachers with daily activities to create a positive and engaging environment

Collaborate with the team to support pupil well-being and progress

Qualifications

A positive, caring, and proactive approach

Experience supporting children (school or childcare setting preferred)

A team player who is eager to learn and grow

Requirements and compliance

This is a temporary position, with potential to become permanent for the right candidate

DBS check or eligibility to obtain one, and other mandatory compliance checks in line with Department for Education guidelines
