Teaching Assistant - Part and Full Time

Are you passionate about making a real difference to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?Tradewind Recruitment are supporting one of their partnership Special Educational Needs Schools based in the Burton on Trent, with a SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant for children with SEN.This is a wonderful, dedicated SEN School which is part of a successful trust but holds a community feel within the local area. The school has a wonderful reputation in the area with parents and is a school regularly requested by supply staff to return to.The Role:Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil in Year 1Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional DysregulationSupport learning, emotional regulation, and social developmentWork alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support planAdapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the childPromote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environmentThe Hours:Monday to Thursday - 08:15 to 16:30Friday - 08:15 to 15:00The Ideal Candidate:Holds at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusionConfident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary settingPatient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and wellbeingHolds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)Available Monday to Friday (part-time roles still require weekday ..... full job details .....
