Teaching Assistant

Horizon Teachers are working with Primary school based in Hackney, assisting in their search for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis from as soon as possible until July 2027 on a full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a skilled and devoted team, working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who need extra support to thrive - academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a Teaching Assistant you will work alongside teachers and other staff members ensuring children are best supported in accordance with their needs.-

About the Role as a-Teaching Assistant:

• Supporting individual pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs.
• Working closely with class teachers to deliver tailored interventions.
• Helping pupils stay focused, engaged, and confident during lessons.
• Encouraging independence, inclusion, and a love of learning.

As a Teaching-Assistant - what do the school require from you?

• Experience supporting children in Primary schools
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND is a bonus!
• A passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
• Confident in your ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenging situations
• Resilience, empathy, and strong communication skills
