Teaching Assistant

We are currently working with a warm, inclusive and nurturing special school that provides high-quality education and care for pupils with a range of special educational needs. The school is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential in a supportive and well-structured environment throughout Primary and Secondary age. They are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and support pupils across the school. This position starts in September until July 2027 on a full-time basis. The school caters for children with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs, so having experience within a similar position is very desirable.About the role:Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needsWorking closely with class teachers and the wider support team to deliver tailored learning and careProviding one-to-one and small group support to help pupils access the curriculumPromoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independenceCreating a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment The ideal candidate:Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or transferable experience welcomed)Is patient, empathetic and resilient, with a genuine passion for SEN educationCan work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from teachers ..... full job details .....
