Job Purpose

Monarch Education is seeking a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a specialist school in NG3. You will work alongside teachers to help pupils access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN in the classroom.
• Assist with learning activities and lessons.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
• Support pupils'' social and emotional development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Help create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Patient, caring, and positive attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to supporting children with additional needs.

Desirable:

• Experience working within an SEN setting.
• Knowledge of autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.
• Relevant childcare or education qualification.
