The Role In this role you will work across two Year 1 classes, leading small-group phonics interventions following the Little Wandle scheme to support pupils in developing their phonics knowledge, early reading and fluency. Pupils will be working at different levels, so you will need a good understanding of phonics development and the ability to adapt your approach to meet individual learning needs. You should be confident engaging pupils who may find learning to read more challenging, using a positive, encouraging and patient approach to build their confidence and help them make progress.
