We are looking for a proactive Learning Support Assistant to support pupils during the school day, including supervising the midday break in both indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring a safe environment. You will also assist the Headteacher and SENCO in promoting pupilsandrsquo; academic, social, and emotional development, helping to implement individual and group work programmes, and providing a caring learning environment where children can achieve their full potential. Who are you£
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
- Experience working with SEN pupils.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and health andamp; safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under teacher supervision.
- Support therapy and care programmes.
- Monitor pupil progress and report to the teacher.
- Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Manage challenging behaviour and provide emotional support.
- Supervise pupils during school activities and outings.
- Maintain learning resources and assist with specialist equipment.
