About the Role
Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming primary school in Haringey to recruit a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
This is a general classroom support role, working alongside the class teacher to support pupils across the KS2 curriculum. A key part of the position will be delivering targeted interventions to individuals and small groups who require additional support with their learning.
Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2
• Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions
• Providing targeted support in literacy, numeracy, and reading
• Helping pupils who require additional support to close gaps in learning
• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and engagement
• Supporting the class teacher with activities, resources, and pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with primary-aged children
• Is confident supporting pupils across the KS2 curriculum
• Can effectively deliver small group interventions
• Is proactive, organised, and enthusiastic
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills
• Is committed to helping pupils make strong academic progress

Graduates and candidates with backgrounds in education, psychology, childcare, youth work, or related fields are also encouraged to apply.
