Location: Primary School, WirralHours: 17.5 hours per weekWorking Pattern: Monday - Friday, 12:00pm - 3:30pmStart Date: September 2026Daily Payrate: £95 - £105About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming primary school in the Wirral. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them to access learning and develop independence within the classroom.This role requires a patient, nurturing individual who is confident in supporting children with additional needs and committed to inclusive education.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 tailored support for a pupil with ASDUse Makaton and a total communication approach to support understanding and expressionImplement strategies to support pupils with:Autism (ASD)ADHDGlobal Developmental DelaySupport sensory regulation, particularly for a sensory-seeking pupilAssist with intimate care needs in a respectful and dignified mannerWork closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support plansPromote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeingEssential RequirementsExperience working with children with ASD and additional needsKnowledge and practical experience of MakatonUnderstanding of ADHD, sensory needs, and global developmental delayExperience providing intimate careAbility to use a total communication approachA clear, confident communicator with strong interpersonal ..... full job details .....
