This is a unique and impactful mixed role supporting a lively Year 1 class, combining general classroom support with focused 1:1 intervention. About the Role In this position, you will split your time between supporting the wider Year 1 classroom environment and providing dedicated 1:1 support for a wonderful child who is currently working at a preschool developmental level. The Child: The pupil can occasionally become distressed and requires a calm, patient, and nurturing adult who can implement emotional regulation strategies, provide reassurance, and create a safe space for learning. Academic Support: Due to the phonics requirements of the Year 1 curriculum, phonics experience is essential for this role to help bridge learning gaps and build foundational early literacy skills.
