Teaching Assistant Key Stage 1

Position: Teaching Assistant (Year 1 – RWI Focus)
Location: Wythenshawe
Pay Rate: £90–£110

Cover People are recruiting an enthusiastic and supportive Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school in Wythenshawe, supporting a Year 1 class. Experience delivering or supporting Read Write Inc (RWI) is essential for this role.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging Year 1 lessons, with a strong focus on phonics.
• Deliver and support Read Write Inc (RWI) sessions to small groups.
• Work with pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis to support early reading development.
• Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Act as a positive and encouraging role model for young learners.
