Teaching Assistant – Hull & East Riding

Pay: £93 - £110 a day

GSL Education Hull is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work across either Primary, Secondary, SEN, and alternative provision settings throughout Hull and the East Riding.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students within the classroom, working alongside teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment. You may provide one-to-one support, assist with small group interventions, and help students overcome barriers to learning.

The Role as a Teaching Assistant:

• Support students with their learning and development.

• Work closely with classroom teachers to deliver engaging lessons.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.

• Assist students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

• Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement.

• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.

• Experience supporting SEND or SEMH needs is desirable.

• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
