Teaching AssistantLocation: Chatham, Kent, ME5Contract Type: PermanentContract Term: Full-TimeHours: 35 per week; 8:30am to 3:30pmSalary: £21,104 actual per annum based on 32.5 hours over 39 weeks per year; FTE £28,181 per annumClosing Date: Midnight, Friday, 20th of March 2026Positions Available: 2The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our client s teaching and support staff to mentor, guide, and inspire pupils across both curriculum and non curriculum learning.Your responsibilities will include preparing classrooms and learning spaces, creating displays of children s work, and supporting a range of planned activities throughout the school day.You will provide additional support to pupils who require help completing tasks or engaging with learning, and you will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. This includes monitoring pupils for signs of challenging behaviour, encouraging positive choices, and sharing any concerns with relevant staff.You will contribute significantly to helping pupils become confident, independent learners.
