TEACHING ASSISTANT Location: Walton on Thames, Surrey Salary: 118 to 128 per day Contract: Long-term, flexible Start: ASAP About the role We''re recruiting an experienced HLTA or senior teaching assistant for class cover work at a community primary school in Walton on Thames. You''ll provide classroom support and cover classes in the absence of the teacher, working from planned lessons and contributing to the school''s day-to-day primary teaching provision. As a teaching assistant with HLTA experience, you''ll deliver classroom support across the primary school, covering classes flexibly and working within a friendly, collaborative team. You''ll work with planned lessons provided by the school, supporting pupils'' learning and maintaining high-quality classroom teaching in the teacher''s absence. Your role as an HLTA providing class coverage will include: Covering primary classes in the teacher''s absence using planned lessons Delivering classroom teaching and learning support Behaviour management and classroom organisation Supporting pupils across different year groups and key stages Following teacher planning and school policies Building positive relationships with pupils and staff Contributing to the primary school''s provision You''ll work flexibly across the school, providing classroom support and class coverage as needed.
