Teaching AssistantLocation: Esher, SurreyPay: 110- 120 per day PAYEHours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am-3:15pmStart: ASAPContract: Full-time, ongoingWe are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Esher, supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Autism (ASD) and complex needs.The role will involve working closely with students who may be non-verbal and require additional support with communication, learning, behaviour and their day-to-day development.Key responsibilitiesSupporting students on a 1:1 and small-group basisSupporting children and young people with ASD and complex needsWorking with non-verbal students and helping develop communication skillsSupporting learning and classroom activitiesEncouraging independence and confidenceSupporting positive behaviour and emotional regulationBuilding positive relationships with studentsWorking alongside teachers and other support staffProviding personal care support where requiredAbout youThe ideal candidate will be patient, caring and resilient, with a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs.Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, Youth Worker, Childcare Worker or similar would be beneficial.Experience supporting ASD, non-verbal students or complex needs is desirable, but we are also happy to consider candidates with strong transferable experience.DBSIdeally, you will already have an ..... full job details .....
