Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Dalston, Hackney, who are looking to appoint passionate Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September 2026. These full-time, long-term opportunities offer the potential to become permanent for the right candidates.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils in class to maximise their learning and development

• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and activities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support where required

• Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupil wellbeing

• Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials

• Support children with varying learning needs, including those with SEND where required

• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have at least 6 months'' experience working in a UK primary school

• Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service

• Be available to work Monday to Friday (5 days per week)

• Be flexible to travel to schools across both Hackney and surrounding boroughs

• Have excellent communication and classroom management skills

• Be proactive, reliable and passionate about supporting children''s learning

• Be able to work effectively as part of a team

Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEND) is advantageous but not essential.
