SEN Teaching Assistant - Reception Class (EYFS)

Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Term-time only, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: -90100 per day (PAYE, paid weekly) - rising to -110120 from week 13
Contract Length: Until July 2026, with the potential to extend or secure a permanent contract

Our partner mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Lewisham is seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their warm and welcoming Reception class in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

This rewarding role involves supporting a child with additional needs, including elements of personal care, helping them to access learning, build independence, and thrive in the classroom.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or EYFS setting

• A patient, empathetic approach and commitment to supporting each child''s individual needs

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with staff, pupils, and parents

• Willingness to provide personal care when required
