Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher with planning and delivering lessons and activities

• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and support academic progress

• Provide support for students with special educational needs or learning differences

• Help manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive, respectful atmosphere

• Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources

• Supervise students during non-classroom times, such as lunch, recess, or field trips

• Support classroom assessments by helping with observations and record-keeping

• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff to support student development

• Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and confidentiality standards

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate''s or Bachelor''s degree in Education or a related field (preferred)

• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and take initiative when needed

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in student learning and well-being

• Familiarity with classroom technology and educational tools is a plus

• Background check and relevant clearances required prior to employment
