A high-achieving and well-respected secondary school in Kensington and Chelsea is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students across Years 7 to 11 starting from September 2025.

About the Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant in this forward-thinking school, you will work across a range of academic departments to support teaching staff in delivering high-quality lessons. Your primary focus will be on supporting students who require extra help to reach their full potential, including those with mild to moderate special educational needs.
You will be deployed in both classroom and intervention settings, working with pupils individually and in small groups. With guidance from the school''s SENCo, you will also help to implement tailored support plans for identified students.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting classroom teachers during lessons across subjects such as English, Maths, Science and Humanities
- Delivering small group interventions in literacy, numeracy or subject-specific support
- Supporting students with special educational needs (including those with EHCPs) under the guidance of the SENCo
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement among students
- Tracking student progress and feeding back to teaching staff regularly
- Helping prepare learning materials and resources
- Developing a clear understanding of the school curriculum and teaching approaches
What We Are Looking For
- A graduate from a UK university, ideally in a subject related to education, psychology or the core curriculum (though all degree backgrounds are welcome)
- An excellent communicator who is confident supporting young people aged 11 to 16
- Someone considering a PGCE, School Direct or another teaching training route in the near future
- A reliable, patient and proactive team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- A reflective individual who is open to feedback and committed to continuous development

Essential Requirements
- A completed undergraduate degree
- An Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply
