Pay: -13.69 - -15.87 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Full-time, long-term)
Start Date: September 2025

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Salford (M50) on a full-time, long-term basis. This Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting a Year 2 child with special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, mostly non-verbal communication, and some social, emotional, and sensory processing challenges. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to deliver tailored support and create an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support as a Teaching Assistant for a Year 2 pupil with ASD
• Use strategies to assist with communication, social interaction, and sensory regulation
• Support emotional wellbeing and engagement in learning
• Adapt activities and resources to meet the pupil''s individual needs
• Work collaboratively with the teaching team and external professionals

About You

• Previous Teaching Assistant experience supporting pupils with SEN (particularly ASD) is desirable
• Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
• Good communication skills, including the ability to support non-verbal communication
• Commitment to making a positive difference in a child''s educational journey
