Supply Desk is delighted to be partnering with a friendly and inclusive Primary School in Bushey. We’re currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2025.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide 1:1 support to a child with Global Developmental Delay (GDD), helping them access learning and thrive within a nurturing school environment. If you’re dedicated to supporting children with additional needs, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role:

You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide targeted 1:1 support for a pupil with GDD. Your role will be key in ensuring they receive the emotional, academic, and social support needed to progress confidently in the classroom.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Supporting learning and development through tailored strategies and activities

• Assisting with the implementation of the pupil’s Individual Education Plan (IEP)

• Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence

• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being

• Liaising with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals

• Adapting resources to meet the pupil’s individual learning style

• Recording and reporting on progress

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting children with Global Developmental Delay or similar developmental needs

• A calm, nurturing, and patient approach

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• An understanding of SEN best practices

• A commitment to helping children reach their full potential

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
