Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming secondary school located on the outskirts of Kettering. This is a full-time, term-time only role and would suit someone who is passionate about supporting young people and keen to gain further experience within education.

The school is a friendly and supportive environment with a strong leadership team and excellent behaviour policies in place. The successful candidate will work alongside classroom teachers and the SEN department to support students aged 11-16 both in lessons and in small group interventions.

The role will involve:

• Supporting pupils in class across a range of subjects

• Working with small groups and individual students

• Assisting students with additional learning needs where required

• Helping to maintain a positive and focused learning environment

• Supporting teachers with classroom preparation and resources

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with young people (school experience desirable but not essential)

• Be patient, adaptable and reliable

• Have good communication and teamwork skills

• Hold GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)

• Be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
