Teaching Assistant - KS1 - Leigh - Full-Time - ASAP Start

We are currently recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive KS1 team at a lovely primary school in Leigh . This is a full-time position starting ASAP, ideal for someone passionate about early education.

• Position: Teaching Assistant (KS1)

• Location: Leigh

• Start Date: ASAP

• Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, term-time only)

• Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

As a Teaching Assistant in this KS1 class, you will:

• Support the class teacher with day-to-day activities and lessons

• Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to help children reach their potential

• Assist with phonics, reading, and basic maths work

• Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment

• Be an approachable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who contributes to the wider school community

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in KS1

• A calm, patient, and professional attitude

• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• A genuine desire to grow and develop as a Teaching Assistant

• A welcoming school with a supportive leadership team

• A full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role with potential for a permanent contract

• Ongoing support and training to help you thrive as a Teaching Assistant
