Teaching Assistant

The Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of a caring and inclusive school who are seeking a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone with a proven background in supporting children with a variety of special educational needs. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support, helping pupils to overcome barriers to learning and thrive in school. This is a permanent part time vacancy (32 hours per week, term time only)
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-to-one and group support for pupils with SEN.
Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs.
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
Assist the teacher in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom.
Work collaboratively with staff and parents to support pupil progress.
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting – essential.
Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language, or other needs).
A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting children.
