A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Withington area of Manchester is seeking a compassionate and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2025 for the full academic year. This is a supply position through Tradewind where you will be paid weekly and comparative to your skills and experience
The successful candidate will work closely with a pupil who has special educational needs, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum, develop social skills, and build confidence in their learning environment. This is a rewarding role for someone with patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a difference to a child''s education and wellbeing.
Expectations of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide individualised learning support in line with the pupil''s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
- Adapt resources and activities to meet specific learning and developmental needs.
- Foster a safe, positive, and encouraging learning atmosphere.
- Support the pupil''s social and emotional development as well as academic progress.
- Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to regular review meetings.
