Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive Year 3 team at a welcoming primary school in Medway. This role is to start from 3rd September. 

The Teaching Assistant Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality support for pupils in Year 3. You will assist with delivering engaging lessons, supporting individual and small group learning, and helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

• Supporting pupils with their learning across the curriculum

• Assisting the teacher in planning and preparing resources

• Working with children who need additional support, including those with SEND

• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting the school’s values

• Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organised classroom

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in Key Stage 2

• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A good level of literacy and numeracy

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
