A primary school in Manchester is looking for a dedicated,-passionate, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant-to join their team from September 2025.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping pupils with Special Educational Needs including classroom support, one-to-one interventions, and assisting in other activities. You will work closely with teachers- and support staff to create a safe engaging and inclusive learning environment. You will support pupils with a range of complex needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Learning Difficulties
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs
- Physical disabilities
Duties
- Provide close support to children with Special Educational Needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning activities.
- Support pupils in developing their academic, emotional, and social skills.
- Promote an inclusive learning environment where every child can learn and thrive.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress to help shape their individual education plans.
- Managing behaviour effectively with restorative approaches.
Requirements
- Experience with SEN desirable.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full UK driving Licence and access to a vehicle(highly desirable).
- Enhanced DBS.
