SANZA Teaching Agency are working with a wonderful primary school in Waltham Forest. They are looking for a teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a boy in year 6.

The student has a diagnosis of Autism. He is verbal and is academically able but requires support with regular sensory breaks and engaging with work.

As a teaching assistant for this role, you will need to:

• Have awareness of how Autism may affect communication, sensory processing, social interaction and learning
• Be confident in adapting tasks in line with the national curriculum to meet the child''s individual learning needs
• Be a strong role-modelling skills and the ability to set and maintain clear boundaries are key to the role
• Have previous experience supporting children with Autism or other special educational needs
