Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire (NG24)
Daily Rate: -90 - -103.90
Contract Type: Temporary to permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (term-time only)
Start Date: Immediate start available

This full-time Teaching Assistant position is perfect for someone who understands the unique challenges and strengths of autistic learners and is passionate about helping them achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Supporting pupils aged 5-16 in both 1-1 and small group settings
Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning programmes and routines
Encouraging engagement and communication through creative, adapted activities
Helping pupils during transitions and supporting strategies to reduce anxiety
Working closely with teachers to deliver targeted, motivating lessons
Contributing to a calm, inclusive and respectful classroom environment
We''re Looking for Candidates With:
Recent experience in a UK school setting as a Teaching Assistant
A relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 3/2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
A good understanding of autism and how it impacts learning and behaviour
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with pupils and staff
A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach to supporting children with additional needs
Desirable Experience Includes:
Supporting non-verbal pupils or those using AAC systems
Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, or sensory-based support strategies
