Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons

• Work 1:1 or with small groups to reinforce learning and support progress

• Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and general organisation

• Promote positive behaviour and help manage classroom routines

• Support pupils with SEN or additional needs, including speech & language or SEMH

• Help create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environment

• Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)

• A genuine passion for supporting learning and child development

• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills

• Willingness to support pupils with varying needs, including SEN and EAL

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, a degree in education/psychology) are advantageous but not essential
