Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and preparing resources

• Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who may need additional help

• Assist with classroom management and promote positive behaviour

• Help assess pupil progress and feedback to the teacher

• Support pupils with special educational needs, where required

• Supervise children during break and lunchtimes as part of the school rota

• Contribute to a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment

What We''re Looking For:

• Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting

• A patient, caring and proactive approach to supporting learning

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to follow direction but also use initiative

• A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable

• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection (DBS required or willingness to obtain one)
