Teaching Assistant - Calne Location: Calne (and surrounding Wiltshire areas)Contract: Full-time or part-timePay: £89-£100 per day (inclusive of holiday pay) The RoleWe are looking for flexible and caring Teaching Assistants to work in and around Calne, supporting children and young people with additional needs in specialist school settings. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a background in special needs or care. You will support students with a range of needs, including Autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs, helping them to access learning and develop confidence and independence. Some students are non-verbal and others have physical disabilities. Main Responsibilities: Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups to access learningAssist with communication, social interaction, and self-regulationWork collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to deliver individualised supportPromote inclusion and positive behaviour within the classroomAdapt to different school environments and pupil needsSupport with personal care when needed Essential Criteria: Experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable individuals (in schools, care, or community settings)A positive, patient, and empathetic approachFlexibility to travel to different schools in the Wiltshire area Desirable Criteria: Experience supporting children with SENDAccess to your own transport and willingness to travel to surrounding towns and villagesKnowledge of alternative ..... full job details .....
